The event is promoted and supported by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and Bilbao City Council. Both institutions have supported Bilbao Bizkaia Design Week for eleven years. The event also has the Basque public radio and television broadcaster as its Media Partner.

It is the only Basque-Navarrese association bringing together professionals and companies from all design disciplines, higher education institutions and industrial companies, with a total of 125 members.

In 2026, it celebrates its 40th anniversary — four decades of activity that include its involvement in Bilbao’s bid to become World Design Capital 2014, Bilbao’s bid to become a UNESCO City of Design, and internationalisation projects in markets such as Milan and Chile.

EIDE is the design node within the Basque Country’s innovation system, as part of the steering group of the RIS3 Euskadi Creative Industries strategy.

It is also a member of national and international networks such as READ (the Spanish Network of Design Associations) and BEDA (Bureau of European Design Associations), and has agreements with organisations including iF Design.

This positions Diseinuz as a regional innovation platform with an international outlook.

FAQ

The official languages of the event will be Spanish and English. Yes, there will be simultaneous interpretation.

The event will feature three spaces: a main stage, a smaller space for parallel activities, and a third one for lunch.

The event will take place in the Sala Multibox at EITB (Calle Capuchinos de Basurto 2, 48013 Bilbao). You can easily get there by metro and Renfe Cercanías (San Mamés station, Bilbao Intermodal exit), tram (San Mamés stop) or bus. Parking is available at Bilbao Intermodal.
