BILBAOBIZKAIADESIGNSUMMIT

DISEINUZ marks the beginning of a new chapter following Bilbao Bizkaia Design Week, with a clear purpose: to place design at the heart of economic, social and environmental transformation strategies, recognising its capacity to create value, drive innovation, address the major challenges of our time and envision future scenarios.
A space where businesses, institutions, professionals and knowledge organisations can explore how to achieve this impact. It represents an evolution towards a forum that places design at the heart of economic processes, recognising it as both a creative discipline and a strategic tool capable of redefining how goods and services are produced, distributed and consumed.

Strategicobjectives

DISEINUZ sets out four concrete objectives that serve as the strategic pillars of its programme, guiding the content and conversations to strengthen the role of design as a driver of transformation and connect knowledge with new opportunities for collaboration.

1
Connect
Create a space for meaningful connections between design and the business community, bringing together design professionals, businesses and institutions, and prioritising initiatives that foster collaboration and concrete opportunities through targeted matchmaking.
2
Visibilize
Position design as a key driver of innovation, organisational improvement and competitiveness, demonstrating its relevance to complex, real-world contexts, highlighting local talent and showcasing initiatives and experiences that illustrate the role of design across different sectors.
3
Boost
Encourage the adoption of design in areas and contexts where its presence remains limited, introducing it to businesses and public and private organisations across all sectors as a useful tool for addressing their current and future challenges, while strengthening the Basque design ecosystem through content that encourages reflection and supports its competitive development.
4
Internationalize
Expand the event’s reach by connecting it with international networks and stakeholders, positioning it within global debates on design and the economy, and building links with leading platforms such as the UNESCO Cities of Design subnetwork.
